回顧羅慧夫醫師1959~1999在台行醫40年間，實踐全人醫療理想的生平事蹟，從同事、學生、病患、妻子平鋪直敘的描述，及其謙虛自述，彷彿能看見一名樸實專注的醫師，將工作當成他的假期，其念茲在茲、所作所為皆為病人。
Dr. Noordhoff departed from the United States and arrived in Taiwan in 1959. He devoted himself to work, even treated work as his vacation. The “Long Vacation” is the record of Dr. Noordhoff’s medical contribution to Taiwanese society, which made the solid foundation of the miraculous medical development in Taiwan.
