詳細介紹

Myanmar is the second-largest country in South East Asia, with a population of 56 million people. It is estimated around 1,500 newborn babies with cleft lips and palate in Myanmar every year. Due to insufficient medical resources and economic difficulties, most of the clef patients cannot reach proper surgery and treatment. The imperfect facial appearance results in social discrimination and inconvenience in their daily lives.

To support Myanmar in developing the capacity to provide quality treatment to cleft patients, NCF has conducted cleft missions and sponsored several medical personnel to receive in-depth training in Taiwan.
